Michael Goodman
Michael Goodman's career path spans every aspect of the information security lifecycle, from software development, systems engineering, incident response, vulnerability assessment, forensics, and threat intelligence to staffing, policy, processes, procedures, and management. Even today, he remains a deeply technical leader in the IT security space.
Michael has led enterprise cyber security efforts for numerous US federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Justice. He has built numerous Security Operations Centers (SOCs) and system -- for the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Enterprise, US Customs and Border Protection, US Secret Service, and the US Navy, among others. He has created enterprise penetration testing, vulnerability, and threat assessment programs within US Homeland Security and the US Department of Justice, often working with the FBI, CIA, and other intelligence agencies.
Within the private sector, Michael has also worked to perform both security services and large-scale systems engineering, such as building and maintaining critical banking systems for ABN AMRO, Rabobank, and ING.


He recently joined Genesis Healthcare as their Chief Security and Technology Officer. He is responsible for building -- and securing -- next-generation consumer healthcare apps and genomics analysis platforms, leveraging big data, AI, and machine learning.
